WALK & TALK IN THE GARDEN WITH DIANA …
We’ve had so much fun at these sessions, they’ll continue on the FIRST SUNDAY IN EVERY MONTH from 10.00 am …
Please telephone the nursery to book your place for an informative and creative hour (or more!!) when we get together and chat about the gardening issues which interest us all!
GRAHAM’S GARDENING ADVICE…
For vigorous plants and lots of flowers, think “Prevention is Better than Cure” and the simple way is to MANAGE your roses monthly!
Here’s the ‘HOW TO’ …
‘Natrakelp’ Liquid Seaweed sprayed over the leaves or watered on with a watering can gives:
MORE FLOWERS
HEALTHY PLANTS
ABSORPTION OF MOISTURE INTO THE SOIL
HEAT/COLD TOLERANCE UP TO 5 DEGREES!
Use Eco-Oil (Organic Insecticide/Miticide) in the mix with the ‘Natrakelp’ which provides:
GOOD SPREAD OF SEAWEED OVER LEAVES
PREVENTION OF INSECT ATTACK FROM APHIDS/MITES/ETC.
PROTECTION FOR LADYBIRDS, FROGS & OTHER BENEFICIALS
Add Eco-Rose to the above mix for:
PREVENTION OF BLACK SPOT AND MILDEW
In the same mix, you can add Eco-Neem (sprayed at 10 day intervals) if your garden is invaded with:
CATERPILLARS
EARWIGS
HARLEQUIN BUGS
And then, to keep your soil healthy, feed with C.O.F. (COMPLETE ORGANIC FERTILIZER) to which you can add well rotted compost or organic manures which are composted in a heap for at least 12 weeks.
To complete the good garden practice, water plants once a week with no more than 10 litres of water per plant and yes, drippers are ideal!
In line with our Sustainable Garden Centre policy, Silkie Gardens Rose Nursery supplies all of the above products along with the complete range of Tri-Nature cleaning products suitable for ‘GREEN CLEANING’ … all truly great Australian products - made in Australia, by Australians, using Australian ingredients!
